How to Create Locations in FaultFixers:

Step 1: Log in to Your FaultFixers Account

  • Open your web browser and log in to your FaultFixers account.

Step 2: Navigate to Building Management

  • Once logged in, locate and click on the "Building Management" section in the navigation menu.

Step 3: Select "Create Location"

  • Within the Building Management section, find the option to create a new location and click on "Create Location."

Step 4: Choose Location Type

  • Decide whether the location will be a shared space or a specific room based on its function or details.

Step 5: Provide Location Details

  • Enter the name of the location and any additional details or descriptions as needed.

Step 6: Save Your Changes

  • After entering the necessary information, click on the "Save" button to create the new location in FaultFixers.


Examples of Locations:

  • Ground floor: A shared space like reception areas, hallways, and common areas.

  • Kitchen (2nd floor): A specific room detailing the kitchen area on the second floor.

  • Bedroom 24 (1st floor): A precise designation for a particular room on the first floor.

  • Lounge (Ground floor): A space including lounging areas and relaxation zones.

  • Staff Dining Room: A location highlighting the dining area for staff members.

Benefits of Detailed Location Settings:

  • Enhanced Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) scheduling with targeted maintenance tasks.

  • Improved issue reporting accuracy for quicker resolutions and smoother building management processes.
